  1. Süsswassertang is a cool species and this a great deal 5 Star Review

Posted by on 31st May 2018

I recieved a generous, golfball-sized portion of Süsswassertang and used netting to secure it around PVC and to form mats. It has been growing phenomenally in all of my tanks for months. It forms a bushy mass in low to medium lighting and forms a denser mat-like structure in high lighting. My shrimp and fish fry love to hide in it in their early stages of life. I also find it very aesthetically pleasing.

I have had no issues growing it in coldwater or heated tanks and I have used ferts with no problems.

A word of advice, be careful with using Seachem Excel or other algaecides because Süsswassertang is similar in structure to algaes and may die.
Also shrimp love to graze on Süsswassertang, and some fish may nibble at it.

  2. Couldn't be happier 5 Star Review

Posted by on 17th Apr 2018

I ordered some Süsswassertang from han. I couldn't be happier with it. I tried to put in another order after ordering this for 2 clumps of buce he had on sale and he just threw them in for free. Everything arrived in excellent condition even though the mail was a day late. I definitely recommend ordering from han. You won't regret it!

  4. susswassertang 5 Star Review

Ordered the golfball size portion and one of the tied mesh pieces as well a couple months ago. Highly recommend this as not only did i receive a very healthy and very different looking kind of plant. I got so much more of this in the golfball portion than i really needed that i put half in my discus tank and half in my colder, no co2 shrimp tank and its been doing awesome in both. The mesh one i ordered was perfect for what i intended it for too. Had a circular type depression in a cool looking piece of driftwood in my discus tank that i wedged the mesh into. Adds the perfect touch to that spot with the color and texture of this plant. All of its probably tripled in size since i first got it

  5. Beautiful and generous portions! 5 Star Review

  6. Affordability without compromise 5 Star Review

Posted by on 2nd Sep 2017

    To date, I have ordered:

    2 Anubias Nana
1 golfball portion of Fissidens Fontanus
    3 golfball portions of subwasstertang

Each of these transactions were very simple (Han accepts PayPal and debit/credit cards).

I had many questions about his plants, and without fail, he answered each of them with a consistent amount of effort and concern. Truly appreciate that, Han.

When I ordered these plants, they were listed as out of stock--but a quick Facebook message letting him know resolved the issue within minutes.

I think Han actually gave me a bit more of the anubias nana that I ordered, knowing that I was a first time customer--that spoke volumes about his priorities regarding customer service.

When I ordered my anubias nana, ONLY A FEW of the leaves seemed to be a bit brown, and I suspected it to be the 2 day delay from USPS (although the other shipments did not have a delay). I messaged him, and he told me to keep him updated, as he would be ready to send me a replacement--but that wasn't needed. The leaves, sure, they were dying but new leaves quickly started to sprout. It's been about a month or slightly longer, and the plants are all healthy as can be.

The coloration on all of the plants I ordered are exceptional!

A note for the next buyers: Han keeps an excellent selection at excellent prices--this means that sometimes he will need to grow his plants in much larger settings. Therefore, expect a few snails lingering on the plants. These snails are easy to treat, though. Use a diluted alum/water solution and soak them for just a bit, and that should take care of most (if not all) of the snails. Other than that, I have not experienced any algae or snail invasion thus far.

From the buying process, the excellent customer service, and actual product experience, I can say that Han Aquatics could definitely be your one-stop-shop for aquatic plant needs. Just make sure to select at least priority shipping :)

    Thanks, Han!
