  1. My favorite floating plant 5 Star Review

Posted by on 31st May 2018

Ceropteris Pteridoides (also known as antlerfern) is a rather obscure species that seems to grow abundantly in any conditions.
I recieved a generous portion of it and it has filled out the top of my tanks beautifully.
I originally bought it for a 40 gallon and so much of it has grown and I like it so much that I added it to my other tanks.

It grows slower in coldwater, but it is still flourishing.
The foliage can get very long, I have plants that are over a foot wide. It uncurls new fronds from the roots as well as produces buds on the foliage.

My shrimp, snails and crayfish like to hitch a ride on it to graze biofilm off of the roots and it is a very amusing sight to see.
My fish love swimming through it as well, especially my hatchetfish.

This is a perfect plant for fry to hide in as well because of the dense growth.

This is a great deal you'd be hard pressed to find elsewhere.

  3. Perfect addition to my betta tank 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Aug 2016

I have a planted nano betta tank, which seemed too bright for my fish. I went through other vendors for floaters to provide shade and had to deal with sulphiric smell and grubs contaminating my purchases. Needless to say I lost money when I had to throw them out. I should have just went here to begin with. Once again, I am impressed and pleased with the price and the health of what I received. These things are big, and a nice change from the small floaters I typically get (much less messy, too!).

Don't know what to say this plant never made it to the tank. MY DOG ATE IT! It was so beautiful!!
